Experience the highlights of the major cities in Egypt and Libya on this fascinating journey. From Cairo, we travel to Alexandria - a buzzing town with many attractions. We continue west and cross into Libya. Our first stop in this exciting, little-visited country is the WWII site at Tobruk. Then, it's the ancient Greek cities of Cyrene and Apollonia equally impressive in their own way. Leptis Magna is simply jaw-dropping - certainly the finest ancient Roman city in the Mediterranean. Benghazi is a great little town, with a lively 'souk' and Tripoli dishes up a cosmopolitan fusion of African, Arabic and European influences.
