About

The Garden Cottage "Avalon" is located behind the old school in the back garden. Open plan and airy, yet private, the wood panelled cottage with it's high cathedral ceilings is a delightful combination of old and new. Tastefully decorated, the cottage features include a Queen bed and a double sofa bed, lounge area with library, games, radio/CD and TV/DVD, reading area, dining area and kitchenette. There are also front and rear verandahs, screen enlcosed for your convenience. For your comfort we provide a choice of either ceiling fan, oil heating or reverse cycle air conditioning. A Federation ensuite bathroom features a claw foot bath and all luxuries are supplied; gowns and slippers, bath salts, fragrant soaps and other accessories, heater and hairdryer. A hat stand offers beanies, hats, bags and umbrellas for your use during your stay with us.

We sit snugly between the Great Dividing and Little Liverpool Ranges, and the views from both verandahs are magnificent. The front verandah scenery is a picture perfect back garden that gently rolls down to Laidley Creek whilst the rear verandah overlooks the other side of the property with a stunning view towards Cunningham's Gap.

Attractions

Take a walk or bring your bike and ride to the end of the valley.
Visit one of the many country markets or our really old local pub "The Mulga" for a great meal or a cold drink; great coffee too.
Drive to quaint local hamlets that abound with magical cafes, more pubs and craft or gift stores; an old post office that still operates and a great old Italian eatery.
Take a tour of an Emu Farm, an Organic Vegetable Farm or Winery.
What about hot air ballooning or sky diving and just a little further afield, visit a country Zoo, The Cuckoo Clock Shop, Chocolate Factory, Japanese Gardens, Geranium Nursery and so much more.

All guests are welcome to use our private office which has internet and email facilities. A fee of $5 per half hour would be applied and it would be appreciated if you could advise at time of booking if you feel you might need this service. Thankyou

Additional Terms and Conditions

We are strictly Bed and Breakfast however we are happy to make meal reservations for you in advance. Pets, other than those needed for medical reasons, are regretfully not catered for.
