The Island Gateway Holiday Park is only 1.2km from Airlie Beach shops and a range of services and just 50mtrs to the Jubilee Tavern and 300mtrs to an IGA supermarket. Set in over 10 acres of lush tropical gardens we offer a relaxing holiday environment.

We cater for all tourists and visitors with accommodation and facilities to suit most tastes. The Island Gateway team prides themselves on a professional tour booking desk to help travellers choose the trip that best meets their needs.

For those that prefer to do their ‘own thing’, the park has fantastic facilities allowing guests to spend a relaxing fun-filled day without leaving the Park.

Facilities include a pool, spa, FREE half court tennis, FREE mini golf, FREE bird-feeding daily, children’s playground, pool table, games room, TV & Internet area, BBQs, camp kitchen, two amenities blocks with laundries, and a well stocked convenience store, just to name a few.

All accommodation includes air-conditioning, kitchen facilities – some with microwaves, TV (some with Austar), fridge, crockery & cutlery, linen – (On main bed only in most cabins, extra linen available @ $8 per bed per stay), complimentary tea, coffee & sugar provided for arrival day only.

All accommodation is NON-SMOKING for your convenience.

Attractions

Our friendly staff will help you relax and enjoy your stay by pointing you in the right direction once you are here. We have a fully licensed travel agency at the Resort and can give you great, honest and non-biased advice for booking your Whitsunday holiday.

Some of the things you can see & do in the Whitsundays include, Airlie Beach (only 1.2km from the resort, being approximately 15-20 minute walk), Jubilee Tavern (located just across from the resort, great for meals if you don’t want to cook), Bowls Club - open mainly on Friday, Saturday & Sundays kindly welcome all visitors and PCYC (youth club open to all, skate ramp, sports courts and fields).

By car you can travel to Shute Harbour (where most of the larger boats depart for the islands, has an easy access lookout, there are also a number of bushwalks on the way that are worth a look), Cedar Creek Falls (turn off on the way to Proserpine, about ½ an hour away, popular swimming area). Proserpine (approx. 25 minutes drive from Airlie Beach, a quaint little sugar cane town is popular for fishing in the dam too), Bowen (approx. 45 minutes drive from Airlie Beach, has great beaches and has the closest movie theatre to Airlie Beach) and Mackay (approx. 1½ to 2 hours from Airlie Beach, this area has around 30 beaches, a number of national parks and larger shopping facilities).

Rooms

Australiana Cabin

Small non-ensuite, open plan cabin with double bed and single duvan, basic cooking facilities, fridge, tv, air-con & balcony with out door setting. Linen provided for double bed only, additional linen for hire $10.

Campotel

Like a tee pee or permanent tent but with a camp bed (no bed linen or pillows - guest must supply own - linen CANNOT be hired) and power supply and can be locked up.

Deluxe 2 Bdrm Cabin

Free standing villa with 1 queen bed in main bedroom room & either 4 single bunks or a double with a single bunk above it. Living area, cooking facilities, bathroom, balcony, tv (Austar) & aircon.

Deluxe Spa Cabin

Free standing cabin with 1 queen bed in main bedroom room & 4 single bunks in the 2nd bedroom. Separate living room & full cooking facilities, balcony, tv (Austar) & air-con bathroom with spa.

Islander Cabin

Dorm style cabin with a double bed & 4 single bunks. Basic cooking facilities, tv & air-con. Not ensuited - guests used shared amenities located opposite cabin.

Self Contained Cabin

Standard Self Contained Unit has a queen bed, cooking and bathroom facilities, tv (Austar) & air-con.

Tropical Villa

Main bedroom with Queen Bed and TV, second bedroom has 2 single beds and trundle or 1 Queen Bed. A/C, full kitchen, sofa, plasma TV (Austar), DV/CD.
