We are a world apart, yet only an hour from Melbourne. Tilwinda homestead has been the hub of this former sheep property for more than a hundred and twenty years. Not only has it all the grace and charm of that bygone era but it has been brought back to life with all modern conveniences. Two spacious bedrooms with private ensuites and a sumptuous breakfast await the in-house guest.

For a romantic getaway the Wool Shed provides self contained studio style accommodation in a charming original bluestone building updated with all modern facilities. A world away from the world.

Set on six acres on the edge of Kyneton Tilwinda provides a unique blend of country living with the convenience of nearby restaurants and shops. The gardens allow you to simply relax or you can explore the property and watch the birds at the lake or simply sit and watch the glorious sunsets

The more adventurous can explore the local district with destinations and events to suit everyone.

Our sister property Kyneton Country Cottage is a delightful self contained country escape, located near Kyneton¿s main shopping precinct and the Kyneton Botanical Gardens.

Surrounded by garden and pretty as a picture, just step inside this fresh and bright cottage with its harmonious blend of old and new, and you will feel relaxed. Perfect for couples looking for a romantic weekend, or for friends catching up. Small groups accommodated to a maximum of 6 people.

From the comfortable bedrooms decorated individually with Oriental and English Country themes, to the lovely decorative plasterwork on the ceilings, the original fire surrounds and lead light windows, you will be charmed by Kyneton Country Cottage.

The cottage has 2 queen bedrooms and a third twin share bedroom, serviced by a modern bathroom with separate bath and shower. The spacious sunlit dining and living area with open plan kitchen opens out to the back garden. There is a separate cosy lounge. Comfortable hydronic heating throughout will keep you warm in Kyneton¿s cooler months.

The established country garden features a magnificent silver birch in the front lawn and hellebores, magnolias and shady trees in the protected backyard. Relax on the verandah and take in the country air.

The Bowling Club, RSL, food shops and eateries are all close by. The local swimming pool is handy to cool off on a hot day. In the evening it¿s but a short stroll to The Albion Restaurant.

Wander the nearby Kyneton Botanical Gardens (great for a picnic) and continue along the Campapse River Walk to trendy Piper Street.

Kyneton Country Cottage is close to the historic Kyneton Railway Station so you can leave the car behind and come by train.
