Walton House offers a superior bed and breakfast experience in a location that allows you to walk to a choice of restaurants and be at the most central location from which to explore every attraction in southern Tasmania.


Our accommodation has been purpose built to embrace the character of the original home (c1900) while providing our guests with the highest standards of quality and comfort. A separate guest entrance to the property ensures your privacy.
All rooms are beautifully appointed with Queen size beds, electric blankets, modern ensuites, thermostatically controlled heating, tea and coffee making facilities, fully stocked minibars plus complimentary Penfolds port and Cadbury Favourites.

Wake up relaxed and enjoy a freshly prepared breakfast. Choose from a selection of breakfast cereals, breads, crumpets, fresh fruit, yoghurt, juices as well as your choice of leaf tea or a cappuccino. Local bacon, freshly laid free range eggs, mushrooms and tomatoes are cooked to order.

We are just 35 minutes south of Hobart, and 150 metres from the one and only junction where the road splits to go east (to Bruny Island, Woodbridge and Cygnet) or south (to the Tahune Airwalk, Australia’s southernmost point and Hastings Caves and Thermal Pool). Staying with us allows you to see it all and minimise your driving time by being in the most central location.

Attractions

If you want to have a good look at the south of Tasmania then Huonville is at the junction to everywhere! Huonville is at the fork in the road that allows you to journey east (15 minutes to Cygnet, 40 minutes to the Bruny Island ferry) or south (40 minutes to the Tahune Airwalk). While visiting the main attractions journey along the Huon Trail and pick out the other attractions that suit you. Visit vineyards, cheeseries, galleries, golf courses, hang gliding, jet boat rides or journey on a magical railway journey.We are close to it all and only 35 minutes from Hobart. While travelling enjoy the rich history of an area where natural beauty abounds.

The property's original coach house has been renovated into a beautifully appointed ensuite room. The room is elegantly furnished with a queen size bed and will sleep a third person.
