Ipswich live music venues are increasing and you will find most evenings and
Sunday afternoons a club or a pub with cold ale, a comfy chair and some
delightful sounds. For the families there are many parks, gardens and
attractions, most of which are free. The Queens Park Animal Sanctuary is well worth a look, located in the Ipswich CBD / 4 Min from the
Country Comoft / and directly across from Queens Park. The Global Arts Link also
situated in the CBD has regularly changing art and exhibits, is interactive
and child friendly with a special hands on area just for kids called Lotties
Place. The Newest attraction would be the Queensland Rail Train Museum.
Ipswich also has its own Water Park, just 15 mins down the Warrego Highway
with pools and rides suitable for babies to adults. However if it's the Big
Theme Parks you are after head down the Ipswich Motor way and onto the M1
and a 45-60 min drive will have you arriving at Dream World, Wet and Wild,
Movie World, Seaworld and Surfers Paradise at the Gold Coast. Ipswich is a beautiful place and the best way to see it all is to experience South East QLD's only city & country hot air balloon flights!
