Country Guesthouse Schönegg is nestled in the foothills of Murrumbateman just 30 minutes north of the nation’s capital in the heart of the Canberra cool-climate wine district.

This purpose-built, contemporary guesthouse opened in March 2003 and quickly established a reputation for tourism excellence, winning the Canberra and Region ’Visitor Experience’ Tourism Award annually since 2004.

‘Schönegg’ means ‘pretty corner’ in Swiss-German and describes this beautiful location perfectly. Hosts Evelyn and Richard Everson are hospitality professionals with a love of fine food and a passion for generous hospitality.
