Location
To get to Empire Retreat from the Domestic Airport Perth:
After leaving the terminal follow signs to the city. Follow signs to "Freeway South" (you will be going over the Narrows Bridge).
Stay on the freeway until you see signs saying Rockingham and Mandurah. Take the Mandurah turn off. You will bypass the town of Mandurah; follow the signs to Bunbury, then Busselton and on to Dunsborough.
Airport/Perth to Mandurah - one hour
Mandurah to Bunbury - one hour
Bunbury to Busselton - half hour
Busselton to Dunsborough - 25 minutes
Coming into Busselton stay on the new bypass road and don't take turn into Busselton. You will come to a large roundabout. Turn right (do not turn left to Margaret River). You will come to a T-junction turn left and follow signs to Dunsborough and Yallingup (you will be travelling along Caves Road).
We are 4.5 km past the second Dunsborough roundabout heading towards Yallingup (south). Empire Retreat is located 100 metres past Vidler Road (right hand side).
The roads are very good and mostly dual highway. There is a large police presence in WA particularly down southDistance from CBD

About
Built around a 35 year old character farmhouse this secluded Retreat is nestled on 265 acres of tranquil bushland. Each suite enjoys a panoramic view over a gently undulating valley in Western Australia's premium wine district, the Margaret River Wine Region.
Warm colours of local timbers, tumbled marble mosaics and sensuous bed linen grace the interiors. Natural bush around the suites provides both a peaceful and picturesque hideaway.
There is a distinct eastern flavour throughout the Retreat, from the simplistic chic, large teak beds, and courtyard water gardens through to the ancient monastery doors at the entrance. A beautiful day bed is nestled amongst the bush for those wishing to read or sip a glass of Empire Estate wine.
The main lounge area offers an inviting space for guests to enjoy fresh local produce, lounge by the fire or enjoy a friendly game of pool.
September 2000 saw the planting of 12 acres of vines. Guests can sample our fine wines in the tasting room located in the gallery area.
Empire Retreat is close to spectacular beaches, restaurants, galleries, vineyards and other attractions.
Empire Spa opened in December 2005. Meander across and indulge in one of the many treatments that are available.
For special occasions we can arrange for a chef to come in and prepare dinner. Picnic hampers are also available for a quiet lunch by the dam or within the grounds.
