About this Property

6 4-star luxury self contained cottages set amongst mature redgums in a peaceful farmstay setting along the Swan River only 30 mins from Perth. The perfect place to relax and unwind. Enjoy scenic bush walks while listening to the melodies of our native birds and taking in the beautiful views.

Additional Property Information

Children will always be charged when a bed is required. Minimum of 2 nights on public holidays & long weekends. Minimum of 3 nights school holidays, Easter & Christmas breaks. Deposit is required within 7 days of booking to confirm reservation. Single night reservations = $120.00 (Sun – Thurs nights) $172.00 (Fri or Sat nights) 2+ nights = 1st night week + = $350.00 per week If cancelled 15+ days in advance = deposit refunded If cancelled 14 or less days in advance – no refunds available unless the cottage is rebooked. Refunds for credit card deposits will incur $5.00 charge Refunds for cottages rebooked may take up to 15 days to be processed.

Situated along West Swan Road between Park And Hale Streets - next door to Oasis Supa Golf

If you are coming from the International or Domestic Airports turn right (on exiting airports).

• When on Great Eastern Hwy follow the signs to Guildford.
• Turn right at the Guildford Hotel (T junction) into James Street.

If you are coming from Perth follow Great Eastern Highway or Guildford Road to Guildford.

• At Guildford (historic James Street Precinct) Turn left at the Meadow Street traffic lights (also signposted Swan Valley Drive 203).
• Cross the railway line and continue straight on past the Post Office & Old Goal complex. ( This also houses the Regional Visitor Information Centre).
• After crossing the bridge you will find yourself on West Swan Road.
• Continue on for 10 kilometers and you will see the sign for the retreat on your right.

Car Parking

There is free parking outside each of the cottages with additional parking available on site for visitors.

Visit the onsite Maalinup Aboriginal Art & Gift Gallery as well as experience our cultural performances, such as The Outback Show,Ripping Yarns, Taste of Didge and Didge After Dark. Enjoy a guided Nature Walk or try your hand at Boomerang throwing. Meet & feed all the animals. Close by attractions include Oasis Supa Golf & Lasor Corps, The Chocolate Factory, Oggies Icecreamery, Caversham Wildlife Park, Swan Valley Wagon Trails as well as many fine Wineries, Restaurants and Breweries.

Here at The River Retreat we can accommodate up to 50 people for small workshops in our multi purpose room.
"U" setting = 20 people
Classroom seating = 26 people
Theatre seating = 50 people maximum. A light Morning and Afternoon tea for up to 50 people included in the hire cost of $150.00p/day. Additional meals available on request.
