Cradle Mountain Highlanders offers secluded wilderness cabin accommodation on the edge of Cradle Mountain National Park. There are twelve self-contained wilderness cabins nestled in temperate rainforest on the 10 acre property which enjoys a stunning view of Cradle Mountain. Cradle Mountain Highlanders is two minutes drive from the entrance to Cradle Mountain National Park and 200 metres from the Cradle Information Centre and Shuttle Bus Terminal.

Natural timber glows and gleams inside the well-appointed wilderness cabins of Cradle Mountain Highlanders. All wilderness cabins have fully equipped kitchens, private decks or verandahs, television, clock radio, electric blankets, hair dryers and pure Tasmanian mountain water on tap. Eight of the wilderness cabins have romantic log fires and two have spa baths. Portable barbeques can be set up on your deck or verandah and there is a guest laundry. Continental breakfast baskets are available and there are restaurants within two kilometres of our self-contained wilderness mountain cabins.

With wildlife at your doorstep, spectacular alpine scenery all around and a rustic mountain cabin to call home, you will really feel at one with nature when you make Cradle Mountain Highlanders your base for exploring the World Heritage listed Cradle Mountain Lake St Clair National Park.

CANCELLATION POLICY If you cancel more than 7 days before your arrival date, your deposit will be refunded less an administration fee of $25.00. If you cancel with less than 7 days notice, or if you do not arrive on the date scheduled, your deposit will be forfeited and the accommodation may be re-sold. Christmas holiday bookings require 30 days notice for refund of deposit. All requests for refunds must be in writing.

Bushmans Hut

A small cabin full of charm, with a double bush bed with a single above, sofa, gas heater and TV in an open plan room, a small kitchen with gas oven and mineral water on tap, a separate bathroom with shower over hip bath, and a sunny verandah. Rates are for two people per night. Extra guest is $30 adult, $20 child.

Buttongrass-Double

Cosy studio cottage with rustic Queen-sized bed, wood-fire and bathroom with shower bath. Rates are for two people per night and max capacity is for two people.

Lanceolata-double

A spacious cottage for two, with a futon bed for extra guests. It has a lounge/kitchen area with mineralwater on tap, microwave, hot plates, TV, log fire and sofa, a separate bedroom area with queen sized bed and a bathroom with bath/shower. Rates are for two people. Extra guest is $20 child, $30 adult.

Snowgum-Spa

Spacious open plan cottage for two with log fire and views of Cradle Mountain. Luxury bathroom features walk-in shower, heated tiles and rectangular 2 person spa bath. Rates are for two people and maximum capacity is two.

Studio Cabin

Warm and cosy open plan cabin accommodating up to four guests, with a wood fire, sofa, TV, double bed and set of bunks in the living/sleeping area, a well equipped kitchen with gas oven and microwave, and a separate bathroom with shower over hip bath. Rates are for two people per night. Extra guest is $30 adult, $20 child.

Tallow-wood- Spa

Queen sized bed in an open-plan room containing dining table,log fire, TV and sofa, a separate bedroom with another Queen sized bed, a bathroom with corner spa bath (Jacuzzi),and a well equipped kitchen with mineral water on tap. Rates are for two people per night. Extra guest is $30 adult, $20 child.

Telopea-Spa

Romantic Queen sized four poster bush pole bed, log fire, TV and sofa in an open plan room, a separate bathroom with corner spa bath (Jacuzzi) and a well equipped kitchen. mineral water on tap and a view of Cradle Mountain from the breakfast bar. Rates are for two people per night.

Two bedroom-C

Spacious 2 bedroom cottage with open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area, gas oven, microwave, TV and log fire. One bedroom has a queen size bed, the other a double. The second bedroom also has a trundle. The bathroom with bath/shower is situated off the living area, between the two bedrooms, and there is a futon sofa in the living room. Rates are for two people per night. Extra guest is $30 adult, $20 child.

Two bedroom-S

Spacious 2 bedroom cottage with open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area, gas oven, microwave, TV and log fire. One bedroom has a queen size bed, the other a double. The second bedroom also has a set of bunks. The bathroom with bath/shower is situated off the living area, between the two bedrooms, and there is a futon sofa in the living room. Rates are for two people per night. Extra guest is $30 adult, $20 child.

Two storey cabin

Family size two storey cottage with a large well equipped kitchen with gas oven, microwave and mineral water on tap, an open-plan living/dining room with TV, gas heater, metal action double sofa bed, dining table and bathroom with shower downstairs, and two separate sleeping areas upstairs, one with queen size bed, the other with two sets of bunks. Rates are for two people per night. Extra guest is $30 adult, $20 child.

Woodsmoke-double

Built just for two in its own little forest dell, this cottage has a cosy kitchen/lounge area with log fire and recliner chairs, microwave, bench top hot plate and mineral water on tap, a separate bedroom area with TV, queen sized bed and bathroom with bath/shower. Rates are for two people per night.
