One child 0-11 years of age can stay free of charge in a room occupied by the parents, subject to the family being able to use existing bedding. There will be an additional charge for a rollaway bed or cot, if required. Cash paying guests are asked to pay accommodation charges on arrival and $100 deposit for each night. Special event dates are NYE (31/12/06), State of Origin and Bledisloe Cup games (dates not set yet). Hotel Ibis Brisbane has started soft refurbishment of guest rooms. The hotel is closing a guest room at a time and there will be no impact to guests in house. Expected date of completion of 31 March 2006 has been advised. ROAD ACCESS GUARANTEED TO MERCURE HOTEL BRISBANE AND HOTEL IBIS BRISBANE Access to Mercure Hotel Brisbane and Hotel Ibis Brisbane is unaffected by the temporary closure of the Riverside Expressway. Guests and visitors can still access the hotel either on foot or by vehicle via Herschel St and Tank St. Conference delegates can gain entrance from Ann St into the drop-off point in Chelsea Lane. This applies to private vehicles and taxis. Guest simply need to advise traffic wardens that they are a visitor or guest of Mercure or Hotel Ibis and access will be granted. Hotel Ibis Brisbane has started soft refurbishments of guest bathroom. The hotel is closing a guest room floor at a time and there will be NO impact to guest in-house. Soft refurbishment of guest bathrooms ONLY. Due to regulation maintenance, Mercure Brisbane and Hotel Ibis Brisbane will be without electricity 29th April between 9pm and 10pm and on 30th April between 5am and 6am. During this time the hotel will operate emergency lighting, fire equipment and all phones. Due to the above works the restaurant and room service will close at 8.30pm on the 29th April and re open at 6.30am on the 30th.
