The journey takes approximately 3 hours from the Expressway at Wahroonga/Hornsby. Cross the Hunter River at Hexham and travel the outskirts of Raymond Terrace, through Karuah and Buladelah.
The following key turning points are shown in kilometres from Buladelah: Lakes Way Turnoff to Forster is at the beginning of the newly completed expressway section. The sign says 68 kms to Taree (DO NOT turn off here for Forster. Remain on the expressway to Taree) this is approximately 4.5kms.
