About this Property The Observatory. The North Coasts premier water front resort.

Opening in June 2004, the Observatory has been recognised as a finalist in a National Accommodation Award for Regional Australia, was the winner of the North Coast NSW Tourism awards in 2005, 2006 and 2007 and winner of the 2006 and 2007 HMAA Award for the best 4-5 star apartments in New South Wales.

Opposite Town Beach with stunning panoramic ocean and hinterland views. The Observatory has a restaurant & Day Spa on site and is only a short 10 minute river side stroll to the town centre and many other restaurants.

Featuring hotel rooms, one two and three bedroom apartments and penthouses, The Observatory is the ideal destination for the discerning and value driven person, couple or family.
Additional Property Information The Observatory is a non smoking resort. Rooms are strictly for accommodation only and no pets are allowed. Balance of account is payable on arrival and not subject to refunds. No cheques unless prior arrangement with management. Each booking must be secured by a deposit of 40% 14 days notice of cancellation or part cancellation is required for a deposit to be refundable. All refundable deposits are subject to a $40 cancellation fee. Apartments are serviced weekly. For stays of between 8 and 14 days, apartments are serviced mid stay.
Location 2 km east of the Town Centre opposite Town Beach, where the Hastings river meets the Pacific.

Local Attractions Situated at the mouth of the Hastings River, Port Macquarie has one of the most enjoyable climates in Australia, with an average summer temperature of 23 degrees Celsius, dropping to an average 19 degrees in winter.

All the amenities of a thriving resort town are available - major shopping centres, al fresco cafes, restaurants, beaches, bush walking and wineries - including the famous Cassegrain Winery.
