From the airport
Follow the signs to City (via Southern Cross Drive). This leads to the Eastern Distributor toll road. Approaching the city stay in the right lane and follow signs to Northern Suburbs. After exiting the Harbour Tunnel follow signs for Epping and then directions from the city as below.
From the City
Cross the Harbour Bridge and follow the signs for Epping (do not take the Pacific Highway exit) along the Gore Hill Freeway. Continue on Epping Road and then on to the M2 Motorway. Take the 2nd exit after the toll, sign posted to Castle Hill and turn right on to Pennant Hills Road. At Thompsons Corner turn left on to Castle Hill Road and turn right at the 2nd set of traffic lights on to New Line Road. Then follow the signs for Wisemans Ferry.
From the North Shore
Make your way to the Pacific Highway and follow the signs to Hornsby (do not take the freeway to Gosford). In Hornsby follow the signs to Galston. You will travel a winding and picturesque road through the Galston Gorge. In Galston follow the signs to Wisemans Ferry.
From Parramatta
Follow Pennant Hills Road to Thompsons Corner. Turn left on to Castle Hill Road and follow the directions as above From the City.
From Windsor
Follow Pitt Town Road, Cattai Road and Wisemans Ferry Road. In Maroota turn left on to Old Northern Road.
From Gosford
Follow directions to Sydney but before joining freeway turn right at sign for Wisemans Ferry. The road is then sign posted to Wisemans Ferry. Cross the Hawkesbury River on the Wisemans Ferry.
From Newcastle
About 8km south of the Ourimbah exit on the F3 take the exit at sign for Peats Ridge. Follow signs for Peats Ridge and Wisemans Ferry. Cross the Hawkesbury River on the Wisemans Ferry (approx 60km).

The Retreat at Wisemans is a 54-room resort and conference centre located on the banks of the Hawkesbury River in Wisemans Ferry.
The Retreat is the ideal location as a short break destination, being just over a one-hour drive from the CBD and easily accessible from all parts of Sydney and the Central Coast.

Local tour operators provide our guests with the opportunity to experience much of what the region has to offer. There is an abundance of early settlement and convict history to explore, whether it’s on a 4WD tour to Wollombi through the spectacular scenery of the National Parks or a guided bush walking tour of the convict built Great North Road with local historian Heather Winch. With a host of river activities available there is also plenty to do on the water. Enjoy a day on the river with a leisurely kayak tour. Speed things up a little with water skiing or wake boarding. Or take control of your own destiny and explore the Hawkesbury River in a ‘self drive’ 1/2 cabin cruiser. If that all seems like too much hard work, you could spend the day at the Retreat and revitalise the weary body and be pampered with a massage or a beauty treatment in our beauty salon.

The Retreat is one of the few venues in NSW that offers genuine dedicated conference facilities. The owner of the Retreat, Barry Topple, is an experienced trainer and really understands the special needs of conference organisers and facilitators.
Our conference complex was designed as a specialist facility - not as a multi-purpose building that could be used for meetings one day, a wedding the next, followed by a dinner. The hi-tech centre is fully air-conditioned and has an abundance of natural light but with full blackout facilities. High speed data links to external data sources can be networked throughout the centre via specially designed floor boxes.
