The Rydges Esplanade is located on the Esplanade and is walking distance to the Pier Marketplace, Restaurants, Casino and shopping areas. Cairns is the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef and World Heritage Rainforest Areas. Tours can be booked via the hotels tour desk.

The resort has 3 meeting rooms available seating a maximum of 200 guests. Business services are available Monday to Friday. Some rooms have access to high speed ISDN lines.

Additional Terms and Conditions

Airport transfers chan be arranged at an additional cost and must be pre-booked. Please provide the Resort, at time of booking the guest flight details and estimated time of arrival. Return transfers are to be reconfirmed by the guest directly with the Resort 24 hours prior to departure. Please advise the guests to proceed to the Australian Coaches counter on arrival; these are located in the arrival lounge, both domestic and international. Guest names will have been supplied gy the Resort and will be on a manifest. Australia Coaches meets inbound and outbound flights. Australia Coaches schedule their transfers in accordance with flight arrival and departure times; hence the Resort does not have any control over these times. As of the 1st of April 2006, Rydges Esplanade Resort Cairns will no longer offer a daily service of the One and Two Bedroom Tower Apartments. Should guests wish to have their room serviced, the following rate structure will be implemented. Payment will be made directly to the Resort. Servicing Rates: One Bedroom Tower Apartment - AUD44.00 per service. Two Bedroom Tower Apartment - AUD55.00 per service. Service Inclusions: All beds made (linen changed) Fresh towels Fresh amentities (where needed) Bathroom clean Vaccuming Mopping Kitchen tidy Rubbish removal Due to an unforseen problem discovered, the main lagoon Pool at Rydges Esplanade Resort Cairns will be closed for urgent repairs and maintenance from Monday 17th September to Monday 1st October 2007 (weather permitting). It has been discovered that joints located within the pool floor and walls have cracked and are leaking large quantities of water. The list of works that will be performed include: 1) Drain Pool 2) Pressure Test Lines 3) Cut Out, Repair and Seal Cracked joints once exposed 4) Structural engineer to asses crack joints once exposed 5) Re-epoxy penetrations 6) Acid Wash Surface and remove calcium build up and stains 7) Refill and balance pool During this works program, we will endeavour to minimise and noise and disruption to guests staying in the hotel. The majority of work will be performed between the hours of 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. For the guests convenience, the Resort offers two other outdoor pools – one located near the Apartment Tower and the second is located near the Health Club and Gymnasium. These pools will be fully operational and available for use during this period. The management and team at Rydges Esplanade Resort apologises for any inconvenience that may be caused to our guests during this time.
