About

Centenary Peaks, Bright’s premier retreat provides the perfect opportunity to get away from it all... or, the ideal opportunity to discover a whole new ‘all’.

Peace, tranquillity, relaxation and absolute privacy... excitement, indulgence and the chance to experience those ‘experiences’ that you’ve always wanted to have… maybe even just once.

A first time plunging down slopes of snow, taking that step to feel the weightlessness of paragliding, just taking the time out to be ridiculously indulged with food, wine and a beauty makeover.

The contemporary Centenary Peaks in Bright offers itself to you. Regardless of your persuasion, our luxury townhouses and packages are designed to suit.

We are situated in a unique location in the heart of beautiful Bright in North East Victoria’s alpine country.

We are unique in that we are a stones throw from shops, restaurants and cafes’... we overlook Centenary Park on the Ovens River, yet from a vantage point that provides a private haven.

Attractions

Bright by name and brilliant by nature. Bright’s famous avenues of huge deciduous trees – oaks, elms, poplars and Japanese maples – are now more than 70 years old, and every autumn they paint the town red, orange, gold and yellow.

Bright’s first settlers arrived after the exploration of Hume and Hovell in 1824, and the cattlemen began summer grazing their beasts in the High Country in the middle of the 19th century. The gold rush hit about the same time, with the nearby Buckland Valley producing rich finds. A new railway line was opened to Bright in 1890, and now forms part of the 98km Murray to the Mountains Rail Trail bike path. Italian settlers arrived after both World Wars, and their skills in horticulture spearheaded the current growth in produce and winemaking.

The town is noted for the Bright Autumn Festival, Springtime in Bright Festival, food and wine, fishing, canoeing, rafting, cycling, bushwalking, 4WD, hangliding, paragliding.
