We provide off-street parking behind our bottle shop. You are able to access the hotel through our beer garden then into our lounge. Our off-street parking can cater for buses, trailers and small trucks.
Location
From Train / Bus Station - Turn right onto Young Street (i.e. Hume Highway). 3 blocks up turn left into Wilson Street, then 2nd block on left is Sodens Hotel (located on corner). ($6 cab ride, 20 min walk)
From Airport - 5 minutes in taxi ($10 ride).
In car - turn right out of the airport driveway and head straight about 5 kms along the Riverina Highway. Cross over bridge (i.e. over train lines, new freeway being built) and over the old Hume Highway traffic lights, then turn 2nd left into David Street, then on 1st corner on left is Sodens.
From Sydney - Come along new freeway and turn left taking the Central Albury exit (i.e. Riverina Hwy exit). Turn right onto bridge, cross over bridge (i.e. over the new freeway & train lines) and straight over the old Hume Highway through the traffic lights, then turn 2nd left into David Street at lights, then on 1st corner on left is Sodens.
From Melbourne - Take the 1st Albury exit to the left of the freeway, then turn left again at the lights. Then turn right at the roundabout, follow around until the lights where you turn right (onto the old Hume Highway freeway). Fourth street on your left is Wilson Street (Bunnings should be on your right hand side). Sodens is two blocks down on your left.Distance from CBD

Sodens Australia Hotel is a beautiful historic hotel located in central Albury. Surrounded by quiet residential tree-lined streets, this 152 year old hotel is one of the most significant hotels in the region.
Sodens Australia Hotel was the Winner of the "Best Presented Hospitality Venue 2002/3" and the Winner of "Best Hospitality Venue with more than 10 Employees or More 2004/5" (Albury Central Awards). The hotel is owner operated and prides itself on good old fashioned friendly hospitality.
Being one of the main accommodation hotels between Melbourne and Sydney from many years back, the Hotel has many stories to tell. Come and check out our collection of historical memorabilia.
The Hotel itself offers 31 motel rooms, each having their own ensuite, TV, A/C and tea & coffee facilities. All of our rooms are non-smoking and are fitted with electric blankets.
We are able to provide ironing facilities and hair dryers on request and are also able to cater for large group bookings, due to the size and experience of our hotel.
Sodens is located two blocks back from Dean Street (ie. main street in Albury) and two blocks back from the Hume Highway, (hence no truck noises). Directly across the road is the SS&A Club and the Myers Shopping Centre is a 2 minute walk.
Other Sodens Hotel facilities include an in-house Bistro and Cafe (open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week), Jimmy's Wine Bar, a large historic beer garden (i.e. check out the stables where Phar Lap stayed and where they use to unload the Cobb & Co. Carriages!!), a laundry for guests and regular nightly entertainment (e.g. trivia, pubopoly, pool tables, electronic video games, pool competitions, karaoke etc). Come on down and try one of our ten beers on tap and meet our friendly Albury locals!
Attractions
There are loads of places to visit in the Albury region! It is a truly beautiful area. Check out the P.S Cumberoona (i.e. the old paddle steamer), have lunch beside the Murray River, visit the Rutherglen vineyards, the Hume Weir, Bright (Alpine town), the Victorian Snowfields (110kms) and the old gold mining towns (i.e. Beechworth, Yackandandah). Try some golf or maybe some fishing.
Sodens also offers bus tours once a week every Tuesday visiting Beechworth, Yackandandah, the Lavender Farm, the Deer Farm and Bright. Other tours can be organised.

Sodens Australia Hotel provides a great venue for weddings, private functions, meetings and corporate events. Our professional venue coordinator was finalist for the "Best Female Service Person 2003/4 (Albury Central Service Awards) and has a fine attention to detail.
We are able to provide large projection screens suitable for laptops, DVDs and VCR's and of course personal catering should you require.
Our staff can also help you with photocopying and faxing facilities on our premises.
