Alara Motor Inn is a beautifully presented four star motel 3 minutes from the city heart of Mackay, close to the airport, train, bus terminals and all other amenities. Our award winning Sea Winds a-la-carte restaurant is open Monday to Saturday and specialises in fresh local seafood and steak. Room service available 7 nights a week. The verandah overlooking the tropical salt water pool is an ideal setting for al fresco dining. For the family traveller we have two bedroom family units with microwave cooking facilities. For guests looking for that touch of luxury we have deluxe rooms with double corner spas.

We are located on Nebo Road which is the Bruce Highway (Highway number 1) as it goes through Mackay, approximately 1.5 kilometres south of the city heart.

Mackay is located centrally along the Queensland coast, between Brisbane and Cairns, and is the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef and Whitsunday Islands. Also a pleasant one hour drive to the west takes you through the pioneer valley and up the range to the Eungella National Park.
